I saw this on BoingBoing. I'm glad they unearthed it. This segment is also in the original post on Talking to Americans:

(Well worth a look!)

i just saw another clip of this exchange sifting up a few hours ago. but you won't hear me complainin' about that. mercer's stuff is priceless.

ought to include his name, Rick Mercer, in the tags or descrip. and you got a typo on foreign.

I'd say this qualifies as a dupe. It's a segment which is entirely contained within http://www.videosift.com/video/canadas-national-igloo-what-americans-think as well as http://www.videosift.com/video/Rick-Mercer-Talking-to-Americans.

xx, to some extent you're right, but we have one big fat loophole.

We sometimes allow a clip that's already contained within a larger clip because of the awesome nature of the edit you're dealing with. In this case, it's pure igloo - the other clip has other gags which dance around the point we're getting at here.

This is such a clip.

The scariest thing is that Dubya showed up on "Talking to" and called our Prime Minister "Jean Poutine" instead of "Chretien" (Poutine being a delicious french fry based meal).

<shudder?>

Krupo: None of the other states get a real prime minister, why should Canadia be any different?

heh, sometimes.

Yeah, totaly blutruth. There's several of us. Including at least two other top 15ers, or three, if you count people who studied here. Dig through the Videosift archives for Siftups, there've been 3 to date in Canada actually, two in Toronto.
