Yeah, somehow I don't think it would fly to have a movie in which the protagonist rapes and murders random people just for the fun of it, but I was disappointed nonetheless.

really? i'd have happily paid 8 bucks for the homerow alone!

not quite, heh. but, about as good as Iron Man, Batman Begins, etc.
all good adaptations, with varying degrees of faithfulness to source material.

and collectively 174x better than dolph lundgren's Punisher.

he's a recon marine, goddammit.
