what are we gonna do when the elections are over? I'm sure we'd like to continue to catalog everything that happened but there'll be little need other than research to keep this tag around. What will joedirt do?

Worst case is you make all the election08 become politics (or USpolitics) which most of them are anyways and just scrub election08 out of existance.
I suppose it is up to whatever is easy for lucky, but it won't be a concern until after the next inauguration (IF there is one). I've been reading about carriers moving to the gulf, so there might be an october surprise in Iran which makes "election08" obsolete anyways. So here's hoping we even have election 2008.
